I have been 'collecting' my outdoor kit for some years and I am now starting to know which brands suit me best and which just don't. I have my favourites but I am a self confessed label junkie and have some need within in me to own at least one thing from every 'big' label. Which I know is ridiculous and I am trying, really trying to move away from this. It's getting easier as I have found that one brand in particular suits me really well and it is one I keep coming back to time after time. And that brand? Read on to find out....
When researching a bit about them I was thrilled to see that they carry the tag line 'Above & Beyond'. Considering the title of my blog this made me smile. I just hope they are okay with me calling my blog 'To Outdoors & Beyond'? But, as I am bigging them up somewhat I am sure they will look kindly on me....gulp.
For me, not only should kit do the job it is designed for, but it should also look good. The last thing you want is to be walking around looking like the back end of a bus. Thankfully over the last few years the outdoor companies have clocked on to this and are starting to really think about female specific design. Now, I like pink, to a certain extent, but please can we have some more colours for women other than pink and purple? The boys are getting some great colour combo's, Berghaus in particular I have noticed have been doing some great colour in men's gear. Come on BRITISH companies, look to your Scandinavian contemporaries for some colour inspiration!
