I never keep New Year's Resolutions, you know the ones; lose weight, get fit, stop eating sugar, learn to knit blah blah blah. So, this year it is all about setting goals and seeking out challenges. Because, if it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you. Read on to find out some of mine for 2016....
2015 ended pretty badly for us. Not only had I been through probably some of the hardest weeks of my life following my diagnosis of anxiety and depression, but on New Year's Eve we found out that a friend and colleague had died unexpectedly. He was only 40 with young kids and was one of the Black Mountains best Outdoor Professionals. It totally side swiped us.
However, he was one for living and embraced life and its adventures so we are determined to do the same. If the last months have taught us anything it is that life really is too short and it is experiences that count not possessions.
So my Goals so far for 2016 are as follows:
So, not too much then! But all achievable. If along the way I lose a bit of weight and cut down on sugar and miraculously turn in to a surf dude then great, but I doubt it. I shall focus on just being me and having fun. Sounds like a plan yes?
